The Cutest Little Backyard Wedding

I had the great opportunity to shoot a wedding of a good friend of mine a couple weeks ago. She was on my volleyball team in high school but was much younger than I was so I never got the time to know her. Then as fate would have it, 5 years later, I ended up moving to St. George next door to her big brother and sister-in-law who would quickly become our best friends. Soon after that she moved in with them and she met her handsome fiancé Lewis. This beautiful bride has been through all the ups and downs of life and love and she has finally found an amazing man who will take care of her like she deserves for the rest of her life. We so much appreciate Lewis for stepping in and being the perfect man for our Kayla. Good luck in all your years to come you two! Love you!
My favorite part about shooting weddings is "The Mess Up". EVERY couple I have ever shot has had one and 95% of the time they are adorable mistakes that give the day such a fun memory.
This one I think topped my list of favorites!
During the ceremony the groom said "I do" way before he was supposed to and the couple instantly burst into laughter, the groom then turned to the congregation and said "I'M SORRY I'M JUST SO EXCITED!! LETS DO THIS!" ha ha ha!!
It was so cute and so romantic. I hope he wasn't too embarrassed about that because I bet his new wife thought it was adorable!

Proud to be an American

I had the opportunity to do a really cool session a few months ago and I'm excited and humbled to post about it today.

>> This is the Kimber family <<
they are an amazing family who has dedicated their lives to serving our country.
We got together for this session one week before Kens 4th deployment to Iraq as a Chinook Pilot.
Ken was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III which he was gone for 12 months and missed his son Hunters birth, he got to meet Hunter at 8 months old.
He was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom V-VI in which he was gone 15 months and missed his daughter Kierras' birth, he met her at 10 months old.
Ken helped transport supplies as well as troops. In June of 2011 he was deployed to Honduras for 6 months where he helped with capturing a Drug Cartel and helped find submarines full of illegal drugs.
Now he is in Afghanistan for anywhere up to 18 months where they are helping to close things up so that our troops can all come home.
Ken does mission planning, keeping track of troops and has been in the Aviation unit of the Army for 12 years as Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth Kimber.

The future Mrs. Ence!

Okay I'm about 20 sessions behind on my blog! Honestly things have been piling up because I have been WAITING AND WAITING to show this bridal session!
This bride is very special to me, she's my baby sister (in-law) Dani and she was waiting to have her Fiance see the dress until their big day so i've been holding off for 2 MONTHS on showing these bad boys!

>> we ordered this one in a 20x30 metal print and it turned out AMAZING!! <<
I absolutely love metals!
>> and my grand finale favorite  <<
I asked a farmer if we could shoot on his property, towards the end of our shoot they brought out this gorgeous horse and said "We thought you might like a picture with a horse, maybe?" They even put on a blue bridal to match her flowers! too cute! I love making new friends while out at session :)

 Congratulations you guys!
We love you!

SURPRISE!! // HILARIOUS testimonial!

GUESS WHAAAAT?.....

I've had so many clients need me back in utah that I've decided to make a few trips out
just for the love of all of you!
I still have some space available and they will go fast so if you'd like a session grab one up!
I can't wait to see you all again!

>> As a bonus on this post i'm gonna add a HILARIOUS testimonial I got the other day! <<

I ask my clients to leave testimonials about my work and my studio after my employment with them,
this helps me to improve my business.

well I asked a friend of mine to leave his the other day and this is what he left for me in my inbox...

"Megan was a good friend of mine in college and when we reconnected after several years and I saw her work, I knew I wanted her to do a shoot for me! My fiancé and I set up the appointment and Megan was so professional from the very start. She made us so comfortable during the shoot, which has not been true of my photographers in the past. As we posed there naked for the shoot, I could tell that Megan has had a lot of experience with nude photography. She even made sure the room was the right temperature to avoid any embarrassing physical reactions to the cold.
She did a great job of putting us in interesting poses and vignettes that I’d never conceived before. Her imagination really is unrivaled in this field. She uses the light and shadow so tactfully to hide body parts and accentuate others. She must do lots of research beforehand. In the past, we found our obese bodies difficult to photograph (I am 420lbs, my wife is 380), but Megan really showed her colors and did some amazing work for us. I jiggle with delight as I recall our great shoot.
I would absolutely recommend Megan for anyone looking for some memorable, unmatched nude photography. Our 11x17 prints in our front room are great conversation pieces and we wouldn’t trade them for anything."

ha ha ha ha Thanks for the laugh Adam!
